The door, which is intended for domestic appliances such as dishwashing machines, tumble driers or washing machines, is to be adjustable to the base height of the kitchen furniture when the domestic appliance is fitted into a row of kitchen furniture. To this end, it is possible to modify the height of the door, which is divided up into an inside and an outside door. The inside and outside doors are divided up into upper and lower parts. While the upper (10) and lower (11) parts of the outside door can be extended and/or displaced with respect to one another by means of rails (12) and guides and are connected to one another such that they can be fastened at the desired door height, the inside door parts (2, 3), which can be fastened to the outside door, can be adapted to the door height by means of shortening. <IMAGE>
