An ignition distributor for internal-combustion engines has an outer group and an inner group of stationary electrodes (23, 24) and a first rotor electrode and a second rotor electrode (32, 35) which produce a conductive connection between a coil electrode (21) and an inner and an outer stationary electrode alternately. The contact elements (24) of the stationary electrodes (23, 25), those of the rotor electrodes (33) and those of the coil electrode (22) are arranged in a radial plane which is arranged at right angles to the distributor shaft (14). The structural height of the ignition distributor is relatively low and the small number of electrodes requires only small suppression elements. <IMAGE>
