摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve exchange at the stage of light, by using a special refractive phenomenon observed in a biaxial crystal. A light through an end surface 108 of the crystal 102 enters an isotropic medium 103 which is transparent, and one signal light is picked up at a reflecting plane 104, collected at a lens 105 and transmitted to an optical fiber 100. The optical signals of the remaining (m-1) lines are transmitted to a biaxial crystal 201 at the next step and similarly, an arbitrary signal light is transmitted to an optical fiber 200 with a reflecting plane 204.
