In order to determine average body stature by series measurements of a multiplicity of persons for economic and statistical purposes, it is proposed to use an electronic video system comprising a terminal to which are connected cameras, a monitor, printer and memory and, if appropriate, a set of scales. The electronic video measurement is preferably performed in a plurality of optical planes. Auxiliary devices ensure that the persons being measured adopt a reproducible, always identical posture in the straddle position with outstretched arms. |
