The aperture control valve is intended to control the flow of a medium which can flow. It has a number of flat aperture elements (8, 31), which are mutually in contact, can be inserted into the flow channel (18) and are arranged in two housing halves (1, 2). The aperture elements (8, 31) are moved by a driver ring (9), which is likewise accommodated in the housing. The touching edges (11) of the aperture elements (8, 31) are stepped off to match one another. When the valve is in the closed state, the touching edges (11) of the ribs (20) of a star arranged in the flow channel are completely covered. This aperture control valve has a significantly smaller leakage rate than known aperture control valves. <IMAGE>
