PURPOSE:To obtain the desired current waveform by eliminating the wasteful switching time at the time of switching between forward direction and reverse direction of a self-excited converter commonly used for both polarities of a load current, thereby preventing the deterioration of the rise time of the current. CONSTITUTION:A monostable multivibrator 3 receives a forward and revere switching signal SS and operates for the prescribed time. A gate circuit 4 consists of AND gates 4x-4z which logically multiplies the output of the multivibrator 3 by the gate pulses from upper group main thyristors UM-WM and OR gates 4x'-4z' which logically add the outputs of the AND gates 4x-4z and an output of a flip-flop 2 to be applied to the original lower group main thyristors XM-ZM, and applies the gate pulse synchronized with the upper group manin thyristors UM-WM of the converter to the lower group main thyristor XM-ZM immediately after converting, thereby shortcircuiting the converter. |
