Process for the biological purification of waste water

In the treatment with gas of waste water (effluent) to be biologically purified, the gas bubbles introduced coalesce very rapidly and thereby impair the entry of oxygen. It is proposed to eliminate this process by addition of coalescence inhibitors to the waste water. Substances are preferably used which are themselves biologically degradable.
