The invention relates to the production of load-bearing precast concrete compound units such as beams, columns, slab-and-beam units, intermediate floors or the like. Usually, a shuttering of wood, plastic or metal is constructed in order to produce precast concrete compound units, which shuttering is removed again once the core concrete has been poured in and hardened. In contrast, according to the invention, prefabricated concrete compound units are used for a shuttering, which units, once the core concrete has been poured in, remain connected thereto as "permanent shuttering". Shuttering and hardened core concrete together form the precast concrete compound unit to be produced.
