The pressure-regulating valve (2) for hydraulic intensification with or without accumulator (1) has a regulating-valve housing (4) which has a supply-pressure connection (18) which can be connected to a pressure-medium source (20), a consumer connection (34) which can be connected to a consumer (39) or a pressureless tank (36), a control-pressure connection (33) which can be connected to a control-pressure source, and a spring-loaded spool (5) arranged in the regulating-valve housing (4), and a control device (3) for controlling the spool (5). In order to create a simple, energy-saving pressure-regulating valve, provision is made for the spool (5) to subdivide the regulating-valve housing (4) into two pressure spaces (6, 7), for the supply-pressure connection (18) to lead into one pressure space (6) and for the control-pressure connection (33) to lead into the other pressure space (7), for the spool (5) to be spring-loaded in the direction of the pressure-medium source (20), and for the spool (5) in an end position to clear the connection from the supply-pressure connection (18) to the consumer connection (34). <IMAGE>
