A paper-hanging aid for applying wallpapers to ceilings or the like is to make it possible for even just one person to be able to paper ceilings easily. For this purpose, the paper-hanging aid (1) shown in Figure 1 is characterised by a support (2) extending as far as the ceiling (16) and by a fastening strip (3), attached to one end of the support (2) and extending perpendicularly to the latter, for receiving the edge of the front end of a wallpaper. <IMAGE>
