PURPOSE:To suppress the variation in the speed of an electric motor vehicle by maintaining the torque of a motor constant at the time of switching from the state of operating with an accelerator and to the state of operating under the control of its speed. CONSTITUTION:When an electric motor vehicle is driven in an accelerator mode, a switching circuit 5 produces as a motor torque command tauc a torque command tauca responsive to the depressed stroke of an accelerator pedal 1 produced from an accelerator unit 2. A current controller 6 produces a deviation between the motor torque command tauc and the output of a current detector 8 to a chopper controlling circuit 9. At this time, the torque command taucs of a speed controlling circuit 4 is adjusted to coincide with the command tauc. When the switch 3 for a speed control mode is then operated, the circuit 4 holds the speed signal N at that time, and the circuit 5 produces as a motor torque command tauc the torque command taucs. Then, the command taucs is adjusted in response to the variation in the speed signal N. |
