In a sanitary single-lever mixer fitting, the cap which closes the housing of the fitting at the top accompanies the rotation of the operating lever about the axis (A-A) by means of which the temperature of the mixed water flowing out is altered. During an adjustment of the flow rate of the mixed water, the operating lever is displaced in a linear manner relative to the cap. This improves the fitting from the point of view of hygiene since the cap surface which is alternately exposed and covered by the operating lever is kept as small as possible. <IMAGE>
