A continuously operating converter circuit for generating a voltage output signal, which is proportional to the frequency of an oscillating input signal and an oscillating output signal which has the same frequency and a fixed phase relationship with the oscillating input signal, contains a multiplier circuit which responds to the oscillating input signal and an oscillating feedback signal and supplies as a product of these two signals an error signal which is then integrated in order to generate the voltage output signal. The oscillating feedback signal, which also serves as the oscillating output signal, is obtained from an oscillator within the circuit whose output frequency is a function of a control signal which is proportional to the combined values of the voltage output signal and a reference signal whose value is proportional to the frequency of the oscillating input signal which is to be expected.
|
