PURPOSE:To reduce the time for preparing bean sprouts, by preparing the sprouts while supplying an inhibitor gas, e.g. ethylene, through a flow rate confirming apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A body 1 surrounded by a heat insulating material 2 consists of a space 3 below a dranining board 5 and a bean sprout frame 4, and has a water sprinkling space 6 having a water sprinkler 7 on the frame 4 and an air hole 10 having a ventilating apparatus 11. The bottom space 3 has a draining and air hole 9. An inhibitor gas (a mixture of a hydrocarbon, e.g. ethylene, with an inert gas) in a storage tank (A) is supplied from a hose (B) and a solenoid valve (C) to the sprouts in the forced ventilation. In the natural ventilation, the gas is supplied from solenoid valves (F) and (G) while confirming the flow rate with a confirming apparatus (D) capable of confirming by blowing gas bubbles into water to prepare the bean sprouts. |
