摘要 PURPOSE:To realize the direct reading of an overload point and to reduce greatly the time of measurement, by branching the input and output of an amplifier to be measured to connect them to a wave detector having the analogous characteristics via an attenuator respectively and controlling the value of the attenuator by a feedback system so as to equalize their output voltage. CONSTITUTION:The high frequency signal given from an oscillator 1 is supplied to an amplifier 4 to be measured through a voltage control attenuator 2 and a distributor 3. The output of the amplifier 4 is connected to an output wattmeter 6 via a distributor 5. At the same time, the input power branched by the distributor 3 is supplied directly to a wave detector 8 at a time of calibration, and the other side of the distributor 5 is connected to a wave detector 10 having the analogous characteristics to the detector 8 via an attenuator 9. The output voltages of the wave detectors 8 and 10 are supplied to an attenuator driving circuit 11, and the voltage is generated to drive the attenuator 9 so as to always obtain the equal output voltage between the detectors 8 and 10. As a result, an overload point is directly read with a great reduction of the time required for measurement.
