<p>In a thread brake having two coaxial braking surface rings 2, 3 arranged in spaced relationship to one another and a capsule-shaped braking cartridge 7 whose hemispherical ends bear against the braking surface rings, to make it easier to thread a thread through the brake and the two braking surface rings are each provided with an axial threading slot 2', 3' so that a thread which is inserted sideways into the threading slots in the two braking surface rings can be automatically introduced between the braking surfaces in a simple and reliable manner by tightening or tensioning the thread.</p> |
