PURPOSE:To equalize conveying intervals before and after reversing by providing a both-side-reversing mechanism for a paper piece to equalize intervals of the paper before and after both-side-reversing in a conveying route on one side and properly setting the position to join to the conveying route on one side. CONSTITUTION:A paper piece introduced from an entrance 6 is discriminated in its sort, side, paper piece interval, and so on at a discrimination part 1, and conducted from an exit 7 to a gate 8 by conveyor belts 10 and 11. When the result of the discrimination indicates the necessity of reversing between both sides, the gate 8 is operated to convey the paper piece by conveyor belts 11 and 13, and the paper piece is brought in contact with a stopper 15 to be drawn up or off in accordance with the length of the paper piece and held between the conveyor belt 11 and a guide body 16. Then, when the light axis of a sensor 30 is intercepted by the top of the paper piece, a magnet 20 is driven to bring the paper piece in contact with reversing pulleys 25 and 22 via a lever 19. Then, the reversing time of the conveying direction is fixed, and the paper piece is sent to conveyor belts 13 and 14 and conveyed as far as a meeting point 31. |
