PURPOSE:To prepare a continuous sheet-shaped food, by bonding through pressure an edible thin film with a suitable thickness, whose surface is capable of being dissolved in water and becoming pasty, to the same kind or different kinds of many food materials arranged, leaving no space among them. CONSTITUTION:When food materials are vegetables, they are released one by one or cut thinly, when fishes or shellfishes, they are cut into thin fillets, and when edible meat, they are made into slice or minced meat. These food materials are closely arranged on a conveyor belt of cloth with good water absorption or of a fine network of synthetic resin, passed through rollers so that pressed and made into a fixed thickness, and the excess water is oozed out and removed. An edible thin film (pullulan, guar gum, amylose film, gelatin, etc.) whose surface is dissolved in a proper amount of water and becomes pasty is piled on the prepared materials, and they are pressed so that the edible thin film is bonded to the food materials. |
