The invention relates to apparatus with a conveyor 2 intended for transverse transport of long objects 1, such as for example timber logs, extending from a lower level to a higher level, which has a number of engaging pieces 13 with which said objects 1 are arranged to interact and be supported by during transport. The invention makes it possible for objects to be brought up one at a time by means of the conveyor and, on delivery, to be removed from the conveyor. An unloading device 14 linked to the conveyor 2, extending against the transport direction 16 from an engaging piece 13, is disposed to be actuated at the linking point 2B to turn in the transport direction 16 and enable interaction with said object 1 after delivery thereof from the conveyor 2 for the purpose of removing the object 1 from the conveyor 2. <IMAGE> |
