发明名称 DIRECT COUPLING MECHANISM IN VARIABLE SPEED CLUTCH
摘要 PURPOSE:To aim at automatically making the direct coupling of a multiple- disc clutch of variable speed type upon hydraulic pressure failure by incorporating, in the clutch, a piston for directly coupling the clutch, which is normally biased to the clutch-off side by hydraulic pressure but is moved to the clutch-on side by the bias force of a spring upon hydraulic pressure failure. CONSTITUTION:Hydraulic pressure is normally fed to a hydraulic pressure chamber 20 through a fluid passages 26, 24 so that a direct coupling piston 16 is displaced to the right, overcoming the bias force of a Belleville spring 21, thereby a clutch is held in a clutch-off position. At this stage, hydraulic pressure from a fluid passage 23 does not apply to a pressure chamber 15, and, therefore, a piston 10 is pushed back by a spring 13 so that a pressing part 14 pushes a direct coupling pin 17. The control piston 10 is moved to th left for establishing a clutch-on state when hydraulic pressure is fed to th hydraulic pressure chamber 15 from the fluid passage 23. Since hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic failured, the direct coupling piston 16 is moved by the biasing force of the spring 21 so that the clutch is turned into a clutch-on state by means of the direct coupling pin 17 and the pressing part 14. Thereby, the clutch is automatically coupled, directly, upon hydraulic pressure failure.
