The window has a window case (1) designed as a hollow-box profile made of extruded, fibreglass-reinforced curing plastic and a casement (2) formed from extrusion-moulded aluminium hollow-box profile. Both are covered against atmospheric influences by a facing profile-frame (3). This is held in a groove (14) of the case profile (1) by means of screws (25) in holes (26). The facing profile (3) has, on its inside, grooves (27) for corner connection angles and, for sealing in relation to the case profile, an elastic sealing strip (6). A groove (10) serves for receiving a sealing profile (7) which bears with a lip (9) against the leaf profile (2). A further sealing in relation to the casement for preventing cold-transmission is carried out by a lip (16) of the glass-sealing profile (5) which has to bring about holding of the pane. Such a metal/plastic window avoids the disadvantages of wooden windows, such as warping and weathering, and the disadvantage of the plastic windows which are not very resistant to UV radiation in the long term, have a low elasticity modulus and are temperature-sensitive. In the case of metal windows, condensation arises as a result of good heat-conductivity.

|
