PURPOSE:To inactivate a hepatitis virus without lowering the activity of cold insoluble glubulin, by heat-treating an aqueous solution containing the cold insoluble globulin to be expected as a remedy for an infections disease, etc. in the presence of a specific stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing cold insoluble globulin (CIG for short) is heat-treated in the presence of a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of a neutral amino acid, a monosaccharide, disaccharide, and sugaralcohol to inactivate a hepatitis virus. The coexistence of a 3-10C organic carboxylate as an auxiliary stabilizer increases further heat stability. The heat-treatment is carried out 50-70 deg.C for about 5-20hr. An aqueous solution containing CIG derived from serum protein, fibroblast, or its culture solution is generally used as the aqueous solution containing CIG. CIG is related to blood clotting, and has carcinostatic action, anti-leukemia action, etc. |
