NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI[R<1> is H, acyl; R<2> is lower alkyl; R3 is carboxyl; A is bond, group of formula II (X is carvoxime, carbonyl; K is 1-5 integer), formula III (R<4> is amino group; R<7> is carboxyl; m is 1-8 integer; l is 1, 0); R<5> is H, carboxyl; R<6> is H, aralkyl or ar-lower-alkyl, which may be substituted; n is 1, 0]or its salt. USE:Remedy for infections caused by gram-positive or -negative bacteria and fungi. PREPARATION:For example, the carboxyl group of compound of formula IV (Ra<1> is acyl; Ra<3> is protected carboxyl) is activated by a usual method, then made to react with a compound of formula V in the presence of a condensation reagent as N,N-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide to give the compound of formulaI.
