<p>PURPOSE:To increase filter area of a cleaner, by forming bag shaped parts between neighboring filter materials in a cylindrical filter element and filtering air axially flowing from one end face toward the other face of said element. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of belt-shaped filter material 5 is formed with a corrugated part 5b in one side and a flat part 5c in the other of said material with its central part 5a as the border, and said material 5 is folded in this central part 5a and spirally wound on the periphery of a winding core 11. A filter element 50 is formed with bag-shaped parts 50c in portions between neighboring said filter materials 5, and contaminated air passes the filter material 5 through said bag-shaped part 50c. Here a supporting part 12c in a receiving frame of the filter material 5 is sloped diagonally upward along the slope of one end part 50b of the filter element 50. Accordingly, sloped both end parts 50a, 50b of the filter element 50 can form relatively large hollowed places between a cap 1 and case 8.</p> |
