JOINING METHOD OF STEEL PIPE SHEET PILE WITH COUPLING PIPE

PURPOSE:To maintain the heights of coupled parts of upper and lower steel pipe sheet piles including couplers at the same level by welding halved couplers in such a way that the coupling pipe of steel pipes adjoining at the connecting point to the side of the main pipe can be inserted. CONSTITUTION:After welding main pipes 1 and 1' in site, and couplers 7 and 8 are temporarily provided. Slits 5 are matched with each other and the couplers 7 and 8 are welded on the extended line of upper and lower couplers 2 and 2'. On the other hand, the couplers 7 and 8 also are welded to the sides of the main pipes 1 and 1'. In this case, the halved couplers 7 and 8 and welded with a proper spacing in such a way that the coupling pipe of the adjacent steel pipe sheet piles can be inserted.
