PURPOSE:To make the slip flaws on the surfaces of strips nil and to improve the yield of products by forming the magnetic flux in the radial direction of a coil in the loose bore part of the coil and fixing the loose bore part in the loose state by this magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:In the case of unwinding an annealed coil 1 having a loose bore part from the inlet side payoff reel 6 of skin-pass rolling mills or the like, an excitation coil 10 is equipped to a coil holding frame 9, and electric power is fed to this from an excitation power source device 12 through a circuit including a feed line 11, a slip-ring 13, an electrobrush 14, a ground line 15, and a ground electrode 16. Therefore, the magnetic flux in the radial direction of the coil is formed in the loose bore part of the coil 1, and the loose bore part is fixed in the loose state. Hence, the slip between the strips in the coil 1 occuring in the loose coiling, etc. of the coil 1 during unwinding is prevented. |
