PURPOSE:To surely prevent a gas explosion by stopping a gas flow through a control unit before an explosion limit is reached when unburnt gas is being discharged. CONSTITUTION:When a gas apparatus is used, a gas meter 3 is operated, and a pulse signal is transmitted from a flow measuring unit 5 for every revolution of a rotating shaft 6. This signal is received by a control unit 9 to monitor how long, in minutes, the average flow remains unchanged, and the data thus obtained are compared with the continuing time for various flow classifications in the program which has been previously stored in the control unit 9. If the stored continuing time is exceeded, the case is judged by the control unit as a discharge of unburnt gas or an apparatus left behind without being turned off, then a solenoid valve 4 is closed to stop the gas flow. |
