PURPOSE:To obtain a device which is capable of specifying an input character without displaying different characters having the same sound, and also selecting the different characters having the same sound quickly, by providing a memory, etc. in which Chinese characters consisting of different characters having the same sound have been stored so that display and nondisplay of the different characters having the ame sound can be selected optionally. CONSTITUTION:To a memory, etc. in which different characters having the same sound have been stored, for instance, a ''Kana'' (Japanese syllabary) character corresponding to the different characters having the same sound is inputted, and also in case there is a same sound different character partitioned information, this information is also inputted. Subsequently, a CPU 1 is started by operating an input key, a processing program of the different characters having the same sound is read out from program storate part 11, and a processing flow is executed by a control part 13 and an address control part 12. In case there is no same sound different character partitioned information, the first table 3 is searched, an address of the second table 4 is designated by this data, and the different characters having the same sound is read out by a display controller 5. In case there is a same sound different character partitioned information, an address of the second table 4 is designated by this information, its storage contents are read out and displayed on a CRT display part 6. |
