<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight and compact brake excellent in reliability and response, by building integrally a disk brake, an air-oil converter and a braking force regulating mechanism that may act by an electromagnetic valve when the skid of wheels is detected. CONSTITUTION:When pressurized air is introduced into an upper space S of an air piston 14 of the air-oil converter 11, the piston 14 is lowered to develope a hydrulic pressure in a hydraulic cylinder 9 thereby a braking force is exerted on wheels. During braking, if a signal electric current from an apparatus for detecting sliding of wheels is received by an electromagnetic valve 22, the pressurized air passage from an air supplying hole 23 to an air cylinder 13 is cut, and an air passage is established from the air cylinder 13 to an exhausting hole 26, so that the hydraulic oil in the cylinder 5 is discharged, and the braking force is released to stop the skidding state of the wheels.</p> |
