PURPOSE:To form a restrippable pressure-sensitive adhesive which can be used over a wide working temp. range, can be widely applied to various adherends and is suitable for use in the production of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes or labels having excellent heat resistance, by blending a specified styrene/ butadiene rubber polymer latex with a surfactant and a plasticizer. CONSTITUTION:The following three components (a) to (c) are blended. (a): 100pts.wt. (on a dry basis) latex of a styrene/butadiene rubber (SBR) polymer having a styrene content of 20-70wt%, a butadiene content of 30-80wt% and a gel content of 20-70wt%, (b): 0.1-3pts.wt. surfactant, and (c): 1-30pts.wt. plasticizer. Preferred examples of the surfactant (b) are phosphate type anionic surfactants such as alkylphenol phosphates and ether type nonionic surfactants such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers. Preferred examples of the plasticizer (c) are polyester plasticizers and polybutene.
