PURPOSE:To achieve recording and reproduction in excellent pilot signals, by frequency-insertion of a consecutive pilot signal in a luminance signal in frequency band other than a chroma signal domain of a color TV signal. CONSTITUTION:A color TV signal in which a luminance signal and a chroma signal are multiplexed in common band is applied to a comb type filter CF from a terminal 1. A signal component near the frequency value (2n+1)/2Xfh (where; fh is horizontal scanning frequency) in a frequency region lower than a chroma signal region in a luminance signal band is rejected with this filter CF. Next, a pilot signal SP in frequency (2n+1)/2Xfh obtained from the processing of the output of a chrominance subcarrier generator 11 is added to the output of the filter CF at an adder 14. Since the pilot signal like this is recorded through frequency-insertion, the pilot signal can easily be separated by using a comb type filter at reproduction. Thus, the recording and reproduction for excellent pilot signal can be achieved. |
