U=section carrier rail for file folder - clamps onto housed top edge of folder leaf flanges using groove to locate cursor

The carrier rail (2) is used to suspend a file-folder, having a cross section of a 'U' shape and housing onto the top edge of a leaf (1) of the folder. The edge of the leaf is clamped in the rail and one rail flange (3) has a groove (10') for the location (9) and guidance of a cursor (5) with identification marks. The other rail flange (4) has a similar groove (10) at the same level and opening out in the same direction. The use of rail flanges with complementary grooves stiffens the rail, provides for a more robust cursor attachment and permits mounting on the front or back leaf of the folder.
