A method for the manufacture of multi-purpose mailing wrappers and the like and the insertion of catalogues in such a wrapper, in which an off-set printed continuous paper web is preferably used in a sequence of operations so that all the multiple folds necessary for the production of the product as well as the perforations and the like are introduced in the direction of travel of the paper. Within the scope of this method, one uses at least partially known individual steps, which relate for example to printing, the type of folding, glueing, the insertion of address windows and the like. The web comprises multiple creases 8 to 13 whereby a catalogue or other insert (not shown) and folded portions 4 to 7 which comprise order forms, advertising material or the like are folded inside sections 2; 3 and an outer shorter section 1 which is perforated at 14 and glued is turned about crease 8 to be permanently stuck to glue traces on the outer side of the section 3 adjacent the crease 13. <IMAGE> |
