PURPOSE:To use a segment display for displaying a measured value range concurrently for displaying a quantity of light, by taking out a return light from a target point in the form of a digital signal by means of a rotary encoder unit and by inputting the same to a computer. CONSTITUTION:The rotary encoder consisting of a filter 43, a light-emitting unit 50, indexes 50A, 50B and light-receiving units 51A, 51B is provided in the optical path of a return light from a reflecting mirror 6 which is target point of the optical range-finder wherein a measured value is operated by a computer 2 and displayed digitally in the segment display 71, and the output of the encoder is supplied to an up-down counter 63 thrugh the intermediary of shaping circuits 52 and 62 and inputted in the computer 2. The display 71 for displaying the measured value is made to operate also for displaying the quantity of light by making the increase and decrease in the quantity of light correspond to the increase and decrease of the number of segments which are lighted. Accordingly, advantageous utilization of a space and excellent operability can be attained without driving a level meter for the exclusive use. |
