PURPOSE:To prevent spent toner and to raise triboelectrication efficiency, by attaching fine particles having positive triboelectricity with respect to a carrier to the surface of the core of a pressure-fixing toner. CONSTITUTION:The cores of a pressure-fixing toner having 5-30mum diameter are formed from a low-molecular wt. polyethylene, ethylen-vinyl acetate copolymer, and carbon black. These core particles are mixed with fine zinc oxide particles, stirred in a ball mill for 24hr, and calssified to yield a pressure- fixing toner with 5-20mum fine particles having positive triboelectric characteristics with respect to the carrier, attached to the toner particle surfaces. The obtained toner is mixed with the ''Teflon '' -coated carrier to serve as a developer. Aluminum oxide also can be used in plate of zinc oxide, and their mixture is preferable. |
