PURPOSE:To ensure accurate optical scan up to the final part of an original, by controlling a travelling object with either longer one of the scan signal time according to the size of the transfer paper and the original detecting time. CONSTITUTION:An illumination light source 15 plus the 1st and 2nd mirrors of an optical system form a travelling object A. A clutch is applied to transmit the driving force to the object A from a driving force. Then the scan signal which is previously set is produced according to the transfer paper of different sizes stored in a cassette from a time point when the object A starts its travelling. Usually the object A is reset the scan signal is set at 0, and an optical sensor 26 attached to the source 15 senses up to the rear edge of an original 28. The object A keeps its travelling toward the scanning direction until the sensor 26 completes the sensing of the original 28. |
