PURPOSE:To enable the perfectly dry formation of an image by using a photosensitive composition consisting of diazo sulfonate, a coupling agent and a thermoplastic resin binder and carrying out a photoactivating process, an ammonia developing process, an ammonia removing process and a photofixing process. CONSTITUTION:Diazo sulfonate and a coupling agent having a carboxyl group or a sulfonic acid group in the molecule as well as a phenolic hydroxyl group, hydrogen of an active methylene group or an aromatic amino group are dissolved in a solvent such as methylcellosolve, and the soln. is blended with a thermoplastic resin binder and applied to a support. The resulting material is patternwise activated with light having 300-520nm wavelengths and passed through ammonia vapor to develop color. To prevent the color development of the unexposed part an excess of the absorbed ammonia vapor is released by heating at 100-100 deg.C (hot rolling), and the material is irradiated with light having 300-450nm wavelengths to carry out dry fixing. |
