PURPOSE:To know the degree of parallelism between a charger and the surface of a drum, by checking the variation of the intensity of the ion current going to the drum surface from the charger according to the place. CONSTITUTION:A groove 6 is formed to a chielding case 4 of a charger 1, and an insulated plate 5 is fitted to the groove 6. The plate 5 is shifted along a discharging wire 3 to measure the current flowing to a drum from the charger 1 or the current existing between the wire 3 of the charger 1 and the case 4. The charger 1 is parallel to the drum surface as long as the measured value of the current has no change. |
