PURPOSE:To prevent the defect of flash fixing due to several times of light emission, by overlapping a part of each area of irradiation along the travelling direction of the transfer paper and at the same time setting both the tip and the rear edge parts so as not to exted them to the overlap region. CONSTITUTION:The paper 40 is transmitted from the direction of an arrow mark A. The tip of the paper 40 is detected by a transport switch 35, and the charging is started for a capacitor for an Xe lamp 21 at a moment when the paper 40 advances a prescribed extent l0. After this, the lamp 21 emits the light when the paper 40 is transported by a distance l1 and the tip of the paper 40 is within an effective fixing width l1. thus the 1st fixing is carried out. The fixing is not complete at a region (a) due to the uneven irradiation. Then the paper 40 is advanced by the width l1 to have the light emission of the lamp 21. The region (a) is irradiated again to be fixed completely. After this, the entire region of the paper 40 is fixed completely in the same way. |
