PURPOSE:To remove the projections of a surface such as birr, a fiber-like body or the like and thereby improve the anti-liquid leakage property of a battery, by causing the gaskets used for sealing the opening parts of battery cases to be vibrated and rubbed with each other before the gaskets are sealed and fitted. CONSTITUTION:In a positive electrode can 1, there are a positive electrode 2 made of press-molded silver oxide or the like, a separator 3, and an electrolytic solution absorbent 4; and negative electrode material 7 is packed in a negative electrode terminal plate 6. The upper end opening part of the positive electrode can 1 is hermetically sealed with an annular gasket whose cross-section is L-like and a negative electrode sealing plate 6 in order to form a button-type alkaline battery. The gaskets 5 are forced to vibrate in order to rub each other before the batteries are hermetically sealed by the use of the gaskets 5, projections 9 such as birrs, the fiber-like body or the like formed on the surfaces in forming gaskets 5 are removed. |
