PURPOSE:To perform an electrostatic recording while feeding a recording material continuously, by providing a deflecting electrode between a control electrode, which controls passage and break of an ion current, and a recording medium to control the stream direction of the ion current. CONSTITUTION:An ion current corresponding to recording through a pin-hole 14 of a control electrode 3 has the deflection direction controlled through a deflecting electrode 20 provided between the electrode 3 and a recording paper 4 and is deflected in the direction orthogonal to a main scanning direction M synchronously with the continuous movement of the recording paper 4. Consequently, the recording paper 4 is not moved intermittently but is moved continuously to perform a high-quality electrostatic recording, and thus, the constitution of an electrostatic recording device is simplified. |
