<p>The caliper comprises a support (1) with an elongated slot (2) through which a shaft (3) passes. Two friction pads (4,5) are located either side of the support and the shaft is terminated by a flange (6) against which a helical compression spring (7) presses. The other end has a bevel (8) on the inner surface while its outer surface is flanged after assembly to retain the parts. The friction pads are covered by rings (9,10) which cover the parts away from the support and have peripheral rims (11,12) to cover the outer edges of the periphery. A collar (14) centres the spring which acts on the facing ring. A snap rivet (15) acts against the inner bevel in the shaft.</p> |
