PURPOSE:To remove a residual toner without mechanical means, by providing a moving endless belt consisting of an insulating material in the device and causing a part of the belt to face to a photoreceptor and arranging a corona discharge means in the back of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device 10 is provided with a casing 11 arranged near a photoreceptor and in parallel with it, and the side of this casing which faces to the photoreceptor is opened, and a part of an endless belt 20, which is stretched around three rollers 12-14 and consists of an insulating material, in the casing faces to a photoreceptor D through the open part. A corona discharger 30 having the same polarity as the photoreceptor is arranged inside the part of the belt facing to the photoreceptor. Thus, a residual toner on the photoreceptor is removed without mechanical means, and the photoreceptor is used stably for a long time, and a high-quality copy is obtained. |
