<p>The irrigation unit comprises a reel (4) supported on a wheeled chassis (1). The frame (16) of the chassis has a tractor hitch at one side running parallel to the axis of rotation (14) of the reel. The chassis has a bifurcated support depending from it and mounted on a slide which moves along the longitudinal elements (6A,12) on one side of the chassis. The slide is driven by an endless chain to guide the hose on the reel as it is wound or unwound. The movement of the reel can be braked by a band (20) which has tabs along its length mounted over the rim (17) of the reel.</p> |
