The interlocking arrangement for the vertical connection of containers has a distance plate (1,2,3) to which are attached two lock bodies, at least one of which (6) (but pref. both) is rotatable relative to the distance plate. The rotatable lock body prevents damage to the deck of the vessel or a container stowed beneath it. - One lock body (6) is connected with a cylindrical lock unit (5) whose end turned from the heel has a sloped formation (9) working in conjunction with a similar formation on a blocking arm (19). The lock unit is movable in its axial direction and (through the reciprocal operation between the two sloped formations) can be displaced between a freeing and a blocking position. In the freed position, a support leg (11) with a foot (12) moves between effective and ineffective positions.(1) |
