An off-road vehicle intended for off-road transport and handling of timber consists of a tractor and a load carrier integrated into a unit, a so-called skidder. The tractor 1 and the load carrier 2 are rigidly connected with each other. The load carrier is equipped with at least one pair 7, 8 of wheels while the tractor 1 is equipped with one single wheel 6 which at the same time constitutes the steering axle of the vehicle.
