PURPOSE:To prepare round rice cakes without applying rice meal to the hand or a handling table, by extruding a rice cake through a nozzle, attaching the cake to the upper surface of a receiving plate, and separating the nozzle from the receiving plate and at the same time, cutting the rice cake at the part just below the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:Rice cake is thrown into the hopper 8, sent to the tank 11 with an extruder 9, partitioned to the nozzles 12, and extruded through the end of each nozzle to obtain a round rice cake 32 having almost spherical shape. The vertically movable table 3 is lowered to approach the cake-extruding device 4 to the chain conveyor 2. The dangling round rice cake 32 is brought into contact with the receiving plate 1 by this action, and flattened to some extent. Then the vertically movable table 3 is lifted to leave the round rice cake sticking to the receiving plate and being connected with the nozzle through a thin strip of rice cake. The cutter is shifted to the nozzle-size and the thin strip of rice cake is cut to obtain the objective round rice cake. |
