Street-watering slide valve for actuating gas and water sluice valves with a telescopic linkage which is to be connected, at the lower end, to the slide-valve stem in a rotationally fixed manner and which - surrounded by protective tubes - terminates at the top in a surface box which is provided with a releasable cover. The telescopic portions of the telescopic linkage can be displaced freely with respect to one another in the longitudinal direction and the uppermost telescopic portion is suspended in the surface box in the same way as the upper portion of the protective tube, it being possible for at least the telescopic portion to rotate freely with respect to the surface box.
