An apparatus for carrying out a bending test on samples of materials consists of two supporting rollers which can rotate on two bearing blocks, and of a bending ram which is held in a holder in such a way that it is replaceable. According to the invention it is provided at the same time that the bearing blocks for the support rollers are guided in a common baseplate, in such a way that they can be displaced with respect to the holder for the bending ram. This makes it possible to vary the distances of the bearing blocks from the holder and from one another centrally and uniformly. <IMAGE>
