Boom fitting

A boom fitting has two sleeves for connecting it to the front ends of the spars. The two sleeves are connected by a pivot on which a device for fastening to the mast is pivotably mounted. In order to permit simple clamping of the boom fitting to the mast, a stirrup-shaped part (7) is provided, on the legs (9, 10) of which levers (13, 14) are articulated, the free ends of which carry clamping jaws (15, 16). The web part (8) connecting the legs (9, 10) is provided with a bearing bore, through which the pivot (1) passes. The legs bear, on their side of the levers (13, 14) opposite the web part (8), stops against which the levers or clamping jaws are supported in the top dead centre position of the levers, in which position the mast (17) is clamped between the clamping jaws (15, 16). <IMAGE>
